Bill Worrell left his earthly body on April 29th, 2021, surrounded by friends and family at his ranch in Nu-Art, Texas. His presence was a blessing to all of us. His absence very hard. Worrell touched so many people during his life which came through wisdom and wit in his writings, poems, songs, bronze sculptures, watercolors, acrylic painting, pottery, jewelry and the artistic way he lived his life. He is still touching many people by the incredible legacy of the art he produced and the friendships he left behind. Bill was “a collector of people”.
His parties on the first weekend in December showed it. We all gathered, musicians played, dogs ran, children laughed, everybody brought something…it was magic. Those that came…will never forget. Bill was magic. A human being that really touched everyone and y’all won’t forget it. Worrell was one of those blessed souls that became teachers and walked this earth. He said in one of his songs, “Don’t make up any lies about me when I’m gone.” We aren’t lying, just respecting who you are…Thank you Bill for touching us all so deeply. Thank you for sharing yourself while you visited this earth.
